About Okinawa Snorkeling

There are numerous snorkeling spots in Okinawa, the beach resort that Japan is proud of to present to the world. Among them the Kerama Islands, called the "Kerama Blue" for its high transparency, and the central region's Blue Cave are very popular! Depending on the schedule, you can participate on your arrival date or your return date.

You can meet a lot of colorful tropical fish and sea turtles! Okinawa has a variety of remote islands, and of course you can enjoy snorkeling from the main island to the remote islands such as Ishigaki island and Miyako island as well as day tours!

  • Q.I won't snorkel. Can I still board the boat?

    A.Though you can board most of the time, there might be cases where only participants can board the boat depending on the state of reservation. Please notify us of your desires when booking your reservation.
  • Q.Are there bathrooms on the boat?

    A.There are usually not.
  • Q.Will there be a shuttle service?

    A.There are plans that include shuttle services. If it is in the Kerama Islands, then the shuttle service will be from hotels inside Naha city. If it is in the Blue Cave, then as a rule it will be in the Onna Village area. There are also some plans that include shuttle service from Naha until the Blue Cave.
  • Q.Are there age limits? Can small children participate too?

    A.Though it varies by the supplier, it generally is around 6 to 60 year olds. There might be cases where the elderly will not be able to participate at the day of the event's medical interview. Depending on the tour, children under the age of 7 can also participate.
  • Q.Will you take our pictures during the tour?

    A.Most of them will not include pictures. Even if you have a rental underwater camera, as a rule customers must take pictures on their own.
  • Q.What should we do if the weather is bad?

    A.As a rule, you will be contacted with a cancellation message up until the day prior to the event. We will check the state of the waves. Since there are also occassions where a cancellation message will be sent at the morning of the event, we ask that you please check your mails.
  • Q.Will we be sea-sick?

    A.For people worried about getting sea-sick, please drink anti-sickness medicine beforehand.
  • Q.What do we need to prepare?

    A.Basically swimwear, towel, changing clothes. And when you book, normally you need to provide all participants' height, weight, foot size for rental equipment.
