Taking you to the Shiretoko’s main field “Shiretoko Goko Lakes” where 5 lakes are dotted in the forest.
We strongly recommend you to experience the walk at Shiretoko Goko Lakes which is the main tourist destination in Shiretoko.
Between May. 10th to Jul. 31st, you can take a walk on the promenade only with the qualified guide who has qualification on dealing with brown bear. (We as husband and wife both have qualification).
We are setting the number restriction on participants so that you can enjoy quiet forest atmosphere more than you ever felt before.
Let’s relax and enjoy the World Natural Heritage “Shiretoko” by finding the traces of animal life and feeling the profoundness of Shiretoko forest.

【May 10 ~ July 31 (Active Period of Brown Bear)】
・Guided tour with the qualified guide who has qualification on dealing with brown bear.
・The time period for the walk is determined as 3 hours.
・Lake 5th → Lake 4th → Lake 3rd → Lake 2nd → Lake 1st → Elevated wooden path → Parking lot

【August 1 ~October 20 (Protection time for vegetation)】
Same schedule as 【Opening ~May 9】
※During either period, the promenade might be closed due to the appearance of brown bear. For that case, we would take you to the different place.

・Walk slowly on the promenade on the ground and elevated wooden path for 3 hours.
・Especially during the active period of brown bear, you would not feel crowdedness, and you can enjoy the silent lakes.

・Conducted even with weak rain.
・In case of rainy weather, rental service of boots(free)and rain coat(500Yen).
・Only available to those aged 6 or over.
