Hateruma Island is the southern-most inhabited island in Japan and it is also the southern most island people can visit. There are the monument of Japan southernmost and the monument of Japan southernmost peace, the Awamori brewery in Hateruma is making "Awanami", one of the Awamori brand which is famous for little amount of production and hard-to-obtain.
In the island there are many beautiful white sand beach and nature so you can relax and enjoy cycling!!

What is Awamori?
Awamori (泡盛) is one of the Japanese alcoholic beverage indigenous to and unique to Okinawa. It is made from long grain indica rice, and it is not a direct product of brewing like sake but of distillation like shochu.
